And it perhaps offers a little glimpse into the capabilities of the next Xbox. Microsoft Research has come out with a prototype designed to project images beyond your television and onto the walls of your living room. No longer is a game restricted to the dimensions of your flatscreen — your whole house becomes the viewing platform.
Microsoft says that “the effects in the video are rendered in real time and are captured live — not special effects added in post processing.” This is some authentic stuff — will it be incorporated into the next Xbox?
