Follow-up: Google apologizes for Gmail delay, pledges to improve network capacity
Original story:
Looks like Google has a case of the Monday’s.
Gmail users — including some of us here at GeekWire — are experiencing significant delays this morning. Google confirmed the errors via its App Status page today, first noting the issue at 7:25 A.M. PST.
At about 8:45 A.M PST, Google said the delay of messages and problems with downloading attachments was affecting less than 0.024 percent of the Gmail user base. That number spiked to less than 50 percent at 11:05 A.M. PST.
By noon, Google said that Gmail “has already been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users within the next 1 hours.”
On Twitter, lots of people are confused, angry and frustrated, or in some cases, happy.
