Portland-based Nouvola, a startup that helps companies deploy their cloud applications, won a $256,000 investment prize at the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network’s Angel Oregon 2014.

Nouvola helps mid-market businesses monitor their cloud application performance and was founded in 2012 by CTO Paola Rossaro and CEO Paola Moretto, a former director for Intel’s Data Center Group. The 14-person team also won another $250,000 prize at last year’s Bend Venture Conference.

HoneyComb Corporation, a maker of unmanned aircraft to monitor crops, was voted Audience Favorite.

A total of 14 companies qualified for OEN’s showcase this week, which is one of the top angel conferences in the state and has awarded $2.3 million in investment money to startups since 2005.
