The EMP Museum announced that one of its next big exhibits will be dedicated to Hello Kitty.

Set to open Nov. 14, Hello! Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty is the first large-scale museum retrospective to show in the U.S. on the adorable cat. The pop culture phenomenon is celebrating 40 years of cuteness overload.

The show will look at Hello Kitty’s cultural impact with more than “600 rare and unique pieces” from Sanrio. It will also include more than 40 mixed-media works of contemporary art inspired by Hello Kitty from around the world, according to an EMP release.

The Hello Kitty exhibit is organized by Sanrio and the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles, where the exhibit started in the States.

Key exhibit pieces include, according to EMP: “Hello Kitty’s first telephone, stationery items…vintage products from the 1970s and 1980s along with contemporary objects such as the one-of-a-kind Hello Kitty dress worn by Lady Gaga, a couture bustier worn by Katy Perry, diamond jewelry, and a Hello Kitty talking robot.”

Hello Kitty will be on display until May 15, 2016, and the exhibit is included with price of admission to EMP.

Also: Star Wars and the Power of Costume closes Oct. 4. If you haven’t seen it, you should. EMP visitors get to see costumes from all Star Wars films, including Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Han Solo, and learn more about the designs and how they were constructed.
