Sunday night’s episode of “Game of Thrones” was the biggest of the season and one of the best of the series. But fans attempting to watch using HBO Go or HBO Now were left frustrated as HBO’s streaming services crashed under the weight of increased viewership.
The service went down just as the episode was starting at 9 p.m. ET. Instead of the run-up to the “Battle of the Bastards,” viewers were greeted with error messages. Fans, of course, voiced their frustration on Twitter.

HBO, which hopefully placed the guy in charge of the servers high in a Great Pyramid, tweeted back at the angry mob unable to see the show.

The spike in outrage aimed at HBO Go, as tracked by the site DownDetector, showed more than 15,500 complaints during the outage.
HBO has a week to sort out the problems, as the season six finale airs next Sunday.
