Mall rats who love ThinkGeek now have a reason to step away from their computers and step out in Seattle as the popular retail chain opened its first store in the West on Friday at Northgate Mall.
Fans of the longtime destination for all things geeky — clothing, toys and games, electronics and gadgets, collectibles, Star Wars stuff and more — would have had to shop online or travel east quite a ways to find one of the franchise’s 24 other locations.
The Northgate opening was met by a long line of dedicated “dweebs” on Friday morning, as one Twitter user put it. Fans in search of holiday gifts or just browsing for themselves came out in force — or, Force, as Star Wars characters were part of the celebration.
