The last time we saw Rey at the end of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” she was reaching out to hand a lightsaber to Luke Skywalker. If you’ve been waiting more than a year to find out what happens next, Disney revealed a hint of that on Wednesday.

Daniel Miller, a reporter who covers the film business for the Los Angeles Times, tweeted during Thursday’s Walt Disney Co. annual shareholders meeting about film footage that was shown for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

The film, which is being shot now, is Episode VIII in the ongoing sci-fi series. It’s due in theaters Dec. 15.

Geeks clamoring to know whether Skywalker or Rey or both are “the last Jedi” won’t get the answer from what Miller tweeted. But we do now know what Luke says when handed his weapon:

“Who are you?”

It’s a legit question for a guy to ask a young woman as she approaches at the top of a mountain on an island in the middle of the ocean.

Check out Miller’s tweet stream for more revelations. He was not able to share photos or video.
