Move over King’s Landing, the real seat of power when it comes to “Game of Thrones” this week was in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, where Amazon workers descended on the Iron Throne.
The prop from the popular HBO series was positioned in Van Vorst Courtyard on the Amazon campus, and judging by images shared on social media, plenty of people — and pets — stopped by for the photo op. One guy even brought along a banana from the nearby free banana stand.
Amazon Channels staged the event as a promotion for the fact HBO can be streamed on the service, which is a way for Prime members to watch more than 100 on-demand channels, no cable required. There’s a 30-day free trial going on right now, and it’s $14.99 a month after that.
