Last night, a federal judge in Hawaii issued an injunction on President Donald Trump’s second executive immigration order, effectively blocking its controversial travel ban the day before it was set to go into effect.
Trump supporters, wasting no time, took to the president’s favorite platform in protest. Using the hashtag #BoycottHawaii, some conservatives tweeted about changing their vacation plans and encouraged others to avoid anything that would support the Aloha State’s economy.

A second federal judge in Maryland issued an injunction on the travel ban overnight. Both decisions apply to the revised executive order on immigration that Trump issued after Washington state secured a restraining order on the president’s initial travel ban.
#BoycottMaryland and #BoycottWashington don’t seem to have the same traction as #BoycottHawaii, perhaps because the two mainland states don’t have economies that are as dependent on tourism.
