Joylux, a Seattle startup selling electronic devices that can help women improve their vaginal health, this week announced a partnership with actress, filmmaker and entrepreneur Halle Berry to promote women’s health issues.

“Together, we aim to smash the taboo and bring transformative products to menopausal women struggling with intimate health issues,” said Colette Courtion, Joylux founder and CEO, in a LinkedIn post.

A self-described “femtech innovator,” Courtion launched Joylux a decade ago and has raised more than $20 million from investors.

Berry is the founder of Respin, a women’s midlife wellness brand focused on women in menopause. She discovered Joylux following “a painful intimate experience and a misdiagnosis that left her searching for answers,” according to a press release. Berry benefited from Joylux products and became an investor.

In announcing the partnership, Courtion and Berry are also promoting a new product, an intimacy gel called Let’s Spin.

Joylux devices and accessory products are carried by retail and health partners, including Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Goop, Neiman Marcus and others. The company also sells gels, creams, cooling pads and light therapy devices for the vagina, skin, breasts, hair and nails.
